Speed up and use a shortcut in PowerPoint

Learning shortcuts is always a fun part of PowerPoint training.  I like having a range of ways of accessing commands, opening programmes and files, and changing the view of my work – without constantly reaching for the mouse.

Shortcuts are also called Key Tips – but whichever name you prefer, they are nifty little things.

The Alt key is the star of the show. whichever tab you are in, press and hold down the Alt key.  The shortcut  options appear and select the one you want.

For example,

Alt plus H will take you to the home tab, from here, you can insert a new slide using Alt plus I

Holding down the Alt key in the Home tab gives you quick ways to add a new slide. Alt plus I = new slide.

Shortcuts are a regular feature in our Powerpoint Courses London, whatever level or version you use.  Take a peek at the range of skills you can learn at https://www.stl-training.co.uk/powerpoint-training-london.php

Excel 2010: The Watch Window

Data changes result in recalculations of totals which are not always visible, depending on your spreadsheet layout. To keep an eye on how these totals are being affected without dashing around your spreadsheet, collect the important totals into a Watch Window. You can then see the collective effect of your new data from wherever you are in your file.

To add a cell or cells to this window, select the Formula tab, Watch Window, and click the Add Watch button. Select the cell or cells to be watched and click Add. Continue by adding others in the same way.
