Visio Courses

Why is it a good idea to take Visio courses? Visio is a drawing and diagramming package and is quite different to the other Microsoft Office applications. Not only is it different to other Office applications but in general drawing packages change quite dramatically between vendors, so if you have used a drawing/diagramming package in the past you will most likely not know how to use Visio most effectively. So by taking either a single Visio course or multiple instructor led Visio courses you can either learn to apply the skills you already have to the Visio drawing package or if starting from scratch you will learn how to effectively use Visio to produce clear and effective diagrams.

We currently offer two levels of Visio courses - introduction and intermediate/advanced. Each of the courses are 1 day in duration.

Introduction Visio Course

By the end of this Visio course you will feel confident in using Visio, you will be able to create a drawing, diagram or chart. Your trainer will teach you to use some of the built-in drawing and object manipulation features, this will enable you to move on to creating clear and easily understood drawings, diagrams and charts. You will find that structures you wish to create will become easier to build, edit and read. Also as you progress you will notice that your work will look more professionally formatted.

Intermediate/Advanced Visio Course

This course combines both intermediate and advanced areas into a 1 day course. This is the course for you, if you want to advance your existing knowledge and take advantage of the advanced features of Microsoft Visio. This course will enable you to create technical layouts, work flow & fishbone diagrams and many more advanced diagram types. You will learn to understand and use the built-in interoperability between your diagrams and data, such as the database wizard, this will allow for much more complexity. Finally you will learn how to work with far more advanced custom shape designs.

Closed company Visio courses

You can book a training room for a Visio course at any of our 5 training centres so that training is provided exclusively for you or your colleagues (closed company).
