How do I have a different header for each of my pages?
RE: Headers and footers
Dear Sabrina
Thank you attending Word Courses.
In order to have different Headers and Footers on separate pages you have to insert Section Breaks.
I have uploaded a word file with the section breaks for your reference.
If you already have the Document created with various pages please follow these steps:
Step 1: Place your cursor at the bottom of the page where you’d like the section break to be inserted.
Step 2: From the Menu Bar please choose Insert > Break…
Step 3: In the Section break types choose Next Page and then press OK
Step 4: Repeat this for all or any pages you want to have different Headers or footers on.
Tip: If you want to see where you have created the section breaks you can click on eth Show/Hide Button which is placed on the standard toolbar next to your Zoom (100%) button.
Step 5: Once you have inserted all the section breaks then choose View > Headers and Footers…
Step 6: You’ll notice on the Header section it will display which section you are inserting the header in. Type the header of your choice in this section.
Step 7: Once you have finished go to your next section header but before you start entering the new text it is important to click on the Link to Previous button (this is the Fifth button from the right hand side on the Header and Footers toolbar. )
Step 8: Type the text you’d like and repeat Step 6 until all the relevant text has been entered in your headers.
When you go to your print preview you’ll be able to see different Headers and Footers on different pages depending on where you inserted the section breaks.
I hope this helps
If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to answer that!!
