Dreamweaver CS3 course

I have seen it a couple of times whereby people link from their website to an external site, however once the user reaches this site, they can only view the page they have landed on. The thinking behind this is that when a company has their products listed on a particular website (which also contains competitor products) you can restrict the user from seeing products other than yours (ie. navigating the rest of the site, meaning they have to return to your site via the 'back' button). Is this something that can be achieved in Dreamweaver?!

Thanks.

Nic,

This is an interesting one. I haven't seen this before (I don't think).

Do you have an example URL so I can see how it is achieved? Then I can let you know if it can be done in Dreamweaver.

My initial thoughts is they have some kind of layer over the top of the site which restricts clicking of links.

Regards, Rich

Rich,

Thanks for the prompt reply! I cannot find an example off-hand, but I may post one as and when I find it in future. I posted the question after the first day on my course, however on the second day when setting a link to an external site, there were several options that came up asking me if I wanted the navigation etc to be available in the new window (just the internet explorer stuff I think) - so this may be what I have seen before.

Thanks for the help.

Nick
