Sometimes when you paste an image onto a slide, all the other images on that slide resize and reposition themselves. Why does this happen?

Hi Helen,

Thanks for your question.

The problem you face is called AutoCorrect, PowerPoint automatically switches the slide layout to multiple content, so all the pictures are resized + realigned.

To stop that happening:
1) TOOLS menu
2) AutoCorrect
3) Click on the tab - "AutoFormat as you Type"
4) Blank the final checkbox - "Automatic Layout for Inserted Objects"

Having drawn and formatted an AutoShape, you can quickly change the existing shape to a different one while still preserving the formatting changes you made. Follow these simple steps:

1. Click on the shape you want to change (to select it).
2. Click on the Draw button on the drawing toolbar.
3. Select Change AutoShape.
4. Click on the AutoShape that you wish to change the existing shape into.
