Excel Charts
I've created a large chart in Excel and would like to present it, along with the data source, in Powerpoint. What is the best way of puuting it onto a slide so that I don't lose any of the chart edges? For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability
RE: Excel Charts
Hi KerryThanks for your question.
There are three things I can think of that you could try.
The first is just using copy and paste to copy the Excel chart and paste into your PowerPoint slide. The chart should automatically paste as a picture and there should be white circles around the edge of it which you can use to resize the chart.
The second thing you could try is to import the chart by going through Insert - Object, then selecting the Create from file option and then Browse for the Excel file that contains the chart.
If neither of these work very well, then I would consider creating a link from the PowerPoint file to the the Excel file that contains the data and chart so that you can click on the link in the PowerPoint slideshow and open the actual Excel file and show people the information from the Excel file itself.
I hope these suggestions are useful to you.
thanks
Amanda
