Sometimes when I use a soft return the text does not go to the end as it should but stops a small distance from the end This occurs throughout the paragraph. Thanks

Hello Juliana,
I hope you enjoyed your PowerPoint training with us.

If I understand your question, you would prefer that your paragraph line up on the right-hand side, just as it does on the left. Is this correct? If so, this is what is called "Justified" alignment. You can change the alignment of your paragraph as follows:

Select (highlight) your paragraph with your mouse. Go to the Format menu, then Paragraph. In the "Indents and Spacing" tab, there is a drop down box which allows you to set the alignment to Left, Centred, Right or Justified.

Another option is to use the Formatting toolbar shortcuts. I attached a screen shot of the buttons.

If you want your whole document to be Justified, you can do so up front by choosing the Justified option before you start typing. Otherwise you will have to select the paragraph(s) that you want Justified.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved. If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. And please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Mara

Word tip:

Rearrange Paragraphs Using Keystrokes

If you need to swap adjacent paragraphs in a document you're working on?

Click on the paragraph you'd like to move, hold down 'Shift-Alt' and use the up and down arrow keys to move the paragraph up or down.

Each press of the arrow key causes the selected paragraph to jump over one adjacent paragraph.
