Dear Lukasz:

Thank you for attending Excel Advanced Course. I hope you enjoyed the training.

Once you have recorded the macro you can simply use the shortcut key that you may have assigned to it in the Record New Macro dialog box. Or you can assign the Macro to a button which can be placed on one of the toolbars.

Please follow these steps:

Step 1: Once you have created the macro Choose Tools > Customize…
Step 2: In the Commands tab scroll down and choose Macro on the left hand pane.
Step 3: Click and drag the Custom Button with a smiley face next to any of the button in the existing toolbars.
NB: If you want all your macros in a new toolbar then you can click on the Toolbars tab and click New and provide a name for the toolbar and perform the step 2 and 3 and the smiley face will appear on the new toolbar.
Step 4: Please ensure that you do not close the customize dialog box. Right click on the smiley face button and select Assign macro…
Step 5: Select the Macro that you wish to assign that button.
Step 6: These are various options that you have one the macro have been assigned to a button: (Please remember not to Close the Customize dialog box when performing these action)
You can change the icon by right clicking and choosing Change Button Image and choose the button of your choice.
You can give the Button a proper name by right clicking and changing the name from Custom button to a more relevant name.
You can also display the icon as well as the name by right clicking on the button and choosing image and text.
You can change the colour or the image entirely by right clicking and choosing Edit Button image. Here you can change the colour of the button or if you are creative you can create a button of your choice.

Tip: If you’d like to have a button or a shape somewhere inside the worksheet. Then you can use the drawing toolbar and create a Word Art, or insert a clipart or a picture or simply draw a shape from the Auto shapes in the drawing toolbar and right click and assign the macro

If this reply has helped answering your query then I would request you to please mark this question as resolved. If not then you can either reply back to this question for further explanation or post a new question the forum.

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

Apply currency format quickly in Excel

To quickly apply the currency format to cell in your spreadsheet, select (highlight) the cells you wish to apply currency format to, then use Ctrl + Shift + $

This will apply a pounds symbol even though the $ key is pressed.
