Can the initial letter for the person making the comment be removed? I know how to change it, but I'd like to remove it completely.

Changing the user name!!

by - trainer Rajeev gold contributer[275 posts] (2008 Feb 15 Fri, 12:20) replyReply

Dear Keir

Thank you for attending Word Intermediate course. I hope you enjoyed the training.

Normally the user name or initials in features like Macros., Comments, and Tracking Changes is taken from the User information in the options Dialog box.

Please follow these steps:

Step 1: Choose Tools > Options…

Step 2: Click on the User Information Tab

Step 3: Either delete the user name and initial or enter the one that you want to display.

Step 4: Click on OK button.

This should resolve the problem.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to answer that!!

Kindest Regards

Rajeev Rawat
MOS Master Instructor 2000 and 2003

Word tip:

Change the default font in Word

The default settings for all new documents created in Word are stored in the Normal template, Normal.dot.

To change the font for the Normal template, start a new document then go to Format - Font.

Change the font settings to reflect the font and font size you would like to use in future in most or all of your documents.

Click the Default button in the bottom left-hand corner of the Font dialogue box. Click Yes when the message associated with the font change appears on your screen.

You have now changed the default font for all new documents created from this point forward.
