Hi Jason

It sounds like you are trying to take a copy of the screen in word, if that is correct then you are trying to do a screen dump which means you want to copy of the active screen and paste it somewhere else

to do this you will need to use the keyboard when you are on the active screen you hold down the control button (Ctrl) at the bottom left hand corner of your keyboard and then press the print screen button (located at the top right hand side of the keyboard)

Which you have done this go to something like Paint and paste it in there

Hope this solves your problem

Hi Jason

The easiest way to grab the screen or better known as a screen dump, which takes a copy of your screen, is when you are on the active screen you want to grab, you hold down the control key down (Ctrl) and then press the print screen button above your arrow keys

then go to another program and go to edit paste

this will do the job

Find out all Word's shortcut keys

Want to learn more Word shortcut keys?

Here's how to you can find more shortcut key combinations:

1. Look up shortcuts in Help - this should bring up a link to the Keyboard Shortcuts topic.

2. Word has a built-in macro that you can run which will produce a list of all Word's shortcut keys that you can then print.

To access the macro, go to Tools - Macro - Macros. Use the dropdown arrow next to Macros in: to select Word commands.

Scroll down the list under Macro names and select ListCommands, then click Run.

Click OK. A document listing shortcut keys should be generated for you, which you can print for future reference.
