Dear Marha

Thank you for attending Excel Intermediate course. I hope you enjoyed the training.

Your question is quite interesting one. I can understand that there are few functions that we use on a regular basis and do not want to keep on accessing the Paste Function Dialog box to search for our specific function.

Unfortunately Excel doesn’t give you the facility to customize your tool bars to have individual function on them.

Please remember that once you have accessed the Function once it goes automatically to Most recently used category and you can easily access the function by pressing the fx on the Formula bar.

Otherwise I can suggest you to type the function manually. All you have to do is type =VLookup( and a yellow Tool tip will automatically appear asking you to enter the various parts of the function in it. You just have to separate them by a comma.

If I do come across another way of doing this I’ll definitely post it.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to answer that!!

Kindest Regards
