If you have a number of hidden worksheets is there an easy way to unhide them all or can they only be unhidden one at a time ?

Dear Michael

Thank you for attending Excel Advanced course.

Unfortunately there is not certain command to do what you are seeking but however with VBA you should be able to get the results.

Please follow these steps:

Step 1: Choose Tools> Macro > Visual Basic Editor... (Or ALT F11 to get the Visual basic Editor Window on the screen.

Step 2: Choose Insert > Module.

Step 3: In the module window copy and paste this:

Sub UnHideAll()

'unhide all sheets in a workbook

Dim sht As Worksheet

For Each sht In ActiveWorkbook.Sheets

sht.Visible = xlSheetVisible

Next

End Sub

Step 4: Click the [b Save Button and close the Visual Basic Editor Window.

Step 5: Choose Tools> Macro> Macros…

Step 6: You’ll notice that there will be a new Macro called UnhideAll macro. Double-click on it and all the hidden sheets should be displayed.

Please note that you can assign a shortcut key or assign a button to this Macro so that you can easily access it.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to answer that!!

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

Hiding a worksheet in Excel

Want to circulate an Excel workbook file but keep certain worksheets hidden from your colleagues' view?

You can do so by bringing up the sheet you wish to hide on your screen; then going to Format - Sheet - Hide.

It will not be immediately obvious that a sheet is hidden from view unless perhaps the sheet are still labelled Sheet 1, Sheet 2 etc.

To display the sheet again, you can go to Format - Sheet - Unhide on any of the other sheets in the workbook. A dialogue box will appear, allowing you to select the hidden sheet/s. Click OK to make the sheet/s reappear again.
