I have just loaded a file from my laptop and the spell checker has not appeared to identify wrong spellings within a document.

How can I re format my spell checker to identify spelling errors that may have been accepted by another version / custom dictionary?

Can I re start the spell checker to find all mistakes including those I may have accepted wrongly before?

Hello Stewart,
I hope you enjoyed your training sessions with us.

To answer your question, open the Word document where this problem occurs. Press Ctrl+A to select all of the text, click on Tools | Language | Set Language | <choose English (U.K.)> | untick the "Detect language automatically" and "Do not check spelling or grammar" boxes | Default | OK, and press F7 to rerun spellcheck. If you are prompted to save changes to your Normal.dot global template, say yes.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved. If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. And please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Mara
