Hi

I wish to save a selected file as a temp file. I need the user to enter the name of the temp file.

KH07Data = Application.GetOpenFilename(Filefilter:="csv files (*.csv*), *.csv*", Title:="Please select the KH07 Workbook you wish to use")
Workbooks.Open KH07Data

KH07Temp = Application.GetSaveAsFilename(Filefilter:="Excel files (*.xls*), *.xls*", Title:="Please enter the name of the Temporary KH07 workbook")

How do i save the file names KH07Data to KH07Temp?

I need to clarify the question.

I want to open a .csv file and save it as an excel file.

I have managed to open the csv file and get a request from the user for the new file name. I have also been able to save the new file name and work on it.
However, it does not seem to saving it as an excel file.
I realised this after i added another sheet and tried to save the file.

Create a hyperlink navigation sheet

In large files, it is often useful to have a front sheet with hyperlinks to the key databases and summary calculations in your spreadsheet. Hyperlinks can save you and (more importantly) those less familiar with your spreadsheet a great deal of pointless scrolling between and within sheets.

Hyperlinks appear as underlined text and can jump to any cell or range name in your file. You can also use hyperlinks to jump to other files.

To create a hyperlink to a location in the active workbook: (1) Select the cell that contains the text you want to use as the hyperlink and choose Insert|Hyperlink.(2)Click Place in this document.(3)Choose the sheet you want to link to or the range name from the list of "Defined Names".(4)If necessary, type the cell reference in the Type in the cell reference box. (5) Click OK.
