Thank you for your question.

A relative reference in a formula is a reference or cell name that changes when the formula is copied to other cells in the spreadsheet.

For example, if you enter a formula in cell C1 that reads =A1*B1, you are asking Excel to look at the cells that are two to the left and one to the left respectively of the cell that the formula is in, and multiply the figures in these two cells together.

If you copied this formula to cell C2, it would still look at the cells that are two to the left and one to the left of cell C2 and multiply the figures in these two cells together. So the formula would change to read =A2*B2.

Using Excel's MODE function

Use Excel's MODE function to display the most common value present in a particular range of cells.

The Mode function looks like this:

=MODE(cell range)

As an example, if 35 is the most commonly recurring number in a particular cell range, then the function will display 35.
