When using Goal Seek.If you change the number x(see below). The total number changes even though I set a Goal seek to find 20

10
x
_
20

I set a goal seek to find 20 but if I change the x t0 11 the total changes to 21.

Does this mean that you can only use a Goal Seek once?

RE: Goal Seek

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your question.
Goal Seek is only set on a formula. You can use it as many times as you need. In your scenario, if the cells are set as following:
A1: 10
A2: x
A3: A1+A2

Then the goal seek setting will be:
Set cell: A3
To value: 20
By changing cell: A2

If you press OK, the computer will set the new value of A2 is 10. If you press Cancel, the computer will change the numbers back to original.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
