Are you able to lock clipart items and imported images whilst leaving the rest of the worksheet open?

Hello Tom,
I hope you enjoyed your Excel training session with us.

To answer your question, you can indeed lock images whilst keeping the actual cells unlocked. By default, all cells and images are considered "locked," but to actually use this locked status, you also have to use the menu option: Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet. If you do this, everything in the worksheet will be locked. However, if you wish to keep the cells unlocked, you must first select the cells you wish to unlock (in your case, select all the cells), then choose Format > Cells... and in the Protection tab, untick the "Locked" tickbox. Now when you protect the sheet, the cells you have chosen will stay unlocked, but the rest of the items will be protected.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this
question as resolved. If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. And please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Mara

Excel tip:

Viewing Many Worksheets

If there are more worksheets in your workbook than there is room to show all their tabs at the bottom of the screen - Right click on the navigation arrows. A list of all your worksheets is shown. You just click on the one that you want to access. If you have more than 15 worksheets, select in the list and choose your worksheet from hundreds.
