I am using one database at the moment which I will need to split - what is the best way to do this - save as the database and delete the columns I don't need from each?

RE: Access

Hi Sylvia, Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, if you are going to split a single database into two separate access databases the way you have suggested is perfectly acceptable. Alternatively you could create a query which has the fields in it that you wish to keep and then create a table from that query (Make Table Query), open a new database and import the table to your new database, that sounds a little long winded I know but would be probably safer in the long run. I hope that helps, best regards Pete.
