Hi Terry, Thank you for the post, If like me you are a keyboard shortcut user you will like this one:
Press F10 (Function 10) then CTRL+Tab to select the Drawing Toolbar, then use the Right Arrow to select the Text box button, Press CTRL+ENTER. Type the Text you want in the text box. To return to the worksheet when you have finished typing, press ESC twice. To format the Text box, while it is selected, press ESC, then press CTRL+1 to display the Format Text box dialog box. When you finish formatting, press ENTER, and then press ESC to return to the worksheet. hope that helps, best regards Pete

Thanks Pete it certainly has helped. The problem is that sometimes you get the Drawing Tab sometimes the Chart tools and sometimes nothing will continue to play to get it right.

Thanks again.

Pete,

Your advice has improved the position of how to use the keyboard with text boxes on charts but I still have three problems.

1. How do you delete a text box maybe obvious but not to me.

2. With a chart on separate page, chart1 and you have come out of the chart you loose the Chart Tools. You can get it back with the mouse but how do you do this with the keyboard.

3. Sometime I get the Drawing Tool, sometimes the chart tool and sometimes as in 2 nothing is there atechnique to ensure I get the chart tool.
