Hi Olly,

I hope you enjoyed your Excel training. Thank you for your question.

Once you have created a bar chart from your data you can format it to make it appear how you want, changing the colours of the bars, the plot area, font, font size etc.

This can be done by a right click on the area you wish to format.

For example to format the colour of your bar, right click on the series that you wish to change. In the dialogue box that appears, left click on “Format Data Series”. This will bring up a new Dialogue box. Under the “Patterns” tab you can choose the colour that you would like to change your bar to from the grid available. Once you have chosen, click OK, and your bar will change colour.

Go to source of a cell

The default setting in Excel is when you double click in a cell it actives the formula in the cell. If you have created a link and want to directly go to that link (say if on another sheet, click on Tools -options and take off the tick for eidt it directly in cell
