RE: Powerpoint

Hi Rachel,

I hope you enjoyed your PowerPoint training. Thank you for your question.

To insert a sound file that you have already recorded, go to Insert>>Movies and Sounds>>Sound from File. You will see a dialogue box asking you to navigate to where the file is saved. Locate the directory the file is stored in, highlight the file and click on OK.

PowerPoint should then ask you whether you want the sound to start automatically or when clicked. Choose the option you prefer, and the file will be inserted into your slide.

If you choose for the file to start automatically, you may need to change the order of the animation. If it is the last thing you add to that slide it will also be the last thing to animate. To check this, go to Custom Animation in your Task Pane. This will show you the order of your animations, and allow you to change the order if necessary, which can be done by clicking and dragging.

Please also note that your sound will only play in Slideshow View.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post.

Have a great day.

Regards,

Nicole.
