I am working on a spreadsheet which contains multiple hyperlinks to other workbooks. However, whenever I need to sort my spreadsheet the hyperlinks break. ie I have columns A, B, C, D & E. The hyperlinks are held in cells under column D but if I need to sort by column B the hyperlinks do not work.

What is interesting is that they work (1) when I convert back to the original layout of the spreadsheet and (2) they work in the cell they were assigned to ie. if originally the hyperlink was in cell D3 and I sort the information, the hyperlink will still work in cell D3 but not in the cell I expect it to when sorted. Can anyone advise on how to address this?

Many thanks

Hi Despina, Thank you for the post, firstly just a quick question when you apply the sort to your worksheet are you selecting a particular range (ie all the cells in column B) or just a cell within that column?
Secondly are you using the quick sort buttons or using the Data>Sort menu command.
Also check whether the hyperlink references are absolute ($A$1) as your second paragraph seems to point to this being the case. If your references are absolute you should remove the $ signs to revert to Relative referencing, please give that a try, if I am in the wrong direction please come back and we will try again, best regards Pete
