How do you tell excel a data selection is a 'database' to then be able to use dsum etc

Hello Carol,
I hope you enjoyed your Excel training sessions with us.

To answer your question, Excel will see any contiguous data table as a database for function purposes. This means that as long as there are no blank rows in your data, Excel will recognise the status.
