Hello,
Recently I have attented your course and already got questions!!
I have downloaded a clip (fom Youtube) which is in Windows Media Audio/Video playlist Format. Its size is 319 bytes. When I'm trying to insert it into my PPT Presentation, it inserts ONLY the sound icon and doesnt play the moveie at all! The only thing that pops out is the following: 'The MCI device you are using does not support the specified command'. WHy is that and how can I acctualy play the movie in my presentation?
Thanks in advance,

RE: Playing sounds and movies

Hi Anna

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. What I would suggest in this instance is just linking to the clip on the YouTube site from the PowerPoint presentation.

You can do this by creating a hyperlink - the hyperlink can be text, an action button or an object/picture. Select what you want the hyperlink to be attached to, right-click and choose the Hyperlink option and link to the web address of the clip.

I hope this is ok.
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

How to create an invisible Hyperlink

Draw a shape onto your slide covering the text you would want to use as your hyperlink. Insert your hyperlink on the shape, but then go the the paint bucket and choose no fill and then go the line colour and choose no line.

When you now run your slide show and hover over the word, you get a hyperlink.
