Hi Hamish, Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question;
I would consider using the Security Wizard option and would set up user groups and user rights.
This can be quite a complex operation to undertake and requires a considerable amount of care in setting it up; however if you do choose to follow this course of action;
Open your database in Shared Mode, and from the database window choose the Menu option Tools>Security and from the list choose User-level Security Wizard.
Follow the steps as advised by the Wizard to allow certain users/groups rights as required.
Note: as in all major changes it is advisable to practice this on a copy of your database or similar before 'going live'.
