Hi Meirav, Thank you for the post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question, when we use Excel, there are occasions when we need to accomplish a mathematical calculation, Excel has sufficient by way of arithmetical ability to keep a professor of Mathematics happy for the rest of his life. however how do we go about learning to use them and to find them; well - at the right hand end of the Formula bar there is a button which opens the formulas and functions dialog box, the fx button. Clicking this button gives us access to all the functions and formulas available to you, in the search area type a description of the action you wish to undertake and Excel will provide you with an option or number of options, pick the one you wish to use, there will be an explanation of the operation if you click on the option. If you find a function which fits your needs, Excel will walk you through the steps to set up the function, once you have used the fx button a few times for the same formula you will know it well enough to type it in manually.
