Hi Hannah

When creating a background you need to have your audience in mind, so no harsh colours or big colour clashes.

So select a single colour (not too garrish or a two colour gradient.

My suggestion is to use a 2 colour gradient. To do this

1. Right click the slide and select Backgroung

2. Select the Gradient tab and select 2 colours

3. Select the two colours you want (I suggest one of them is white)

4. Select the Shading styles and gradients an click OK

5. Click Apply to All on the Background dialog box
