Leah has attended:

Access Intermediate course

MS Access 2003

Are subdatasheets generally referred to as an adequate resource or should this information be displayed via a different medium?

RE: MS Access 2003

Hi Leah, Thank you for your post, in answer to your question; a subdatasheet can be created manually or will be created by Access automatically if the correct relationships are established.
As an adequate resource? In the table format it is a bit unfriendly.
However I would use them in this way; if you are utilising the table which has a subdatasheet as the source for your form or report and use the AutoForm or AutoReport to create it, the subdatasheet will appear as a table on the new object, if this view is sufficient to your needs, then yes, it is an adequate resource, however I prefer to create a form from the subdata, (the other table) and then in my report or form create a sub form/report, this I feel is more user friendly however it depends on your users and how they prefer to view and use the data. I hope that has helped, if so please click the Resolved link, best regards Pete

Access tip:

Combo box for finding records

You can use a combo box in a form to look up a record. If you place the comb box in the Form header, by then selcting they a field type from the drop down loist, you will see the record for it
