When linking cells from 2 different workbooks, can you combine AND add/subtract/divide etc. another value into it?

Hi Amy, Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question, yes you can use any of the operators in your linking formula for example in Sheet 3 cell A1 type (or navigate and click on the cells) =(Sheet1!A1-Sheet2!A1) or any other arithmetical operator that you wish including AND and OR, your computation can be as complex as any created on a single worksheet however in your formula you must include the sheet number or name. Switch on smart tags – Excel 2007

In order to use smart tags, make sure they are turned on, to do this:
1. Click on ‘Microsoft Office‘ button and then click on ‘Excel Options‘.
2. Click on ‘Proofing‘ category and then click on ‘Auto Correct Options‘.
3. In the ‘Auto Correct‘ dialogue box appears, click the ‘Smart Tags‘ Tab.
4. Tick the boxes, next to the Smart Tags you wish to use in Excel
