I would like an action buttom (play Symbol) to appear beneath a video clip which appears in the same slide. The action button when clicked will run the video in the same window?

Hi Nicola

I'm glad you enjoyed your PowerPoint training with Simon.

Try the following:
1. Insert your video on the slide.

2. When the question pops up choose on click.

3. Draw an object or use an action button whatever suits you best.

4. Right-click the video and choose Custom Animation.

5. In the Custom Animation task pane, click Add Effect button, then choose Movie Actions, Play.

6. Double click the animation for play in the animation task pane.

7. Click on the timing tab.

8. Choose the triggers button.

9. Next to Start effect on click of choose the listarrow and click on the object you have drawn or the action button you chose.

10. Click OK.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

Removing unused toolbar buttons in PowerPoint

Are there buttons on your PowerPoint toolbars that you never use? Remove them from the toolbar by doing the following:

1. Go to Tools - Customise - Commands.
2. Select the toolbar button you wish to remove, then use your mouse to drag and drop the button into the PowerPoint window. When you release your finger from the mouse, the button will disappear.
