Can macros record sums and Vlookups for different spreadsheets and are they easier to use rather than copy and paste formats?

Hi Claire,

You can use a macro to add up certain figures relative to where your active cell is. I wouldn't say it was easier.... its a difficult question to answer without knowing how frequently you need to do it and the context.

A macro is simply a repetitive action. So in theory you can set a macro to add up two figures (or more). I couldn't say whether it would be quicker just to use the sum function... Good question

Tracy
