I am running office 2007 at work. Is it possible to make this look like the Windows 2003 version used at the course?

Hi Kees, Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question, I'm sorry but the answer is no, the user interface in 2007 has been changed completly, however you can add some (as many as you wish) buttons to the quick access toolbar at the top of your screen. To do this Click the little double down arrow next to the quick access toolbar and choose More Commands, you can then navigate through the different ribbon contents and add your favourite buttons to the quick access toolbar, but thats about the closest you are going to get.
The way that I familiarised myself with the new ribbon interface was to use keyboard commands, if you press the Alt key on your keyboard you will see a character appear over each of the commands on the current ribbon, press the character to activate the command.
I hope that has helped, best regards Pete

Excel tip:

Use the Format Painter to copy formatting more than once in Excel

The format painter tool provides a quick and easy way to copy formatting from one cell to another in Word.

The only problem is that if you click the Format Painter once to turn it on, you can only click and drag over a single cell or adjacent range of cells; then the Format Painter turns itself off automatically.

If you want to copy formatting to cells or groups of cells that are not adjacent to each other, double-click the Format Painter - this way you will be able to copy formatting to multiple cells.

When you have finished using Format Painter, press the Esc key or click on the Format Painter button once to turn it off.
