Hi Darren, Thank you for your post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question, this subject is covered in our Access Advanced course; But to give you a little insight;
To set user rights you can use the Security Wizard which you will find by opening the Database window and at the Menu command Tools choose the option Security> User-Level Security Wizard.
Follow the steps to set user rights as required for your network.
Note: These operations should be carried out for the first time on a copy of your database, as incorrect operation could cause the database to become totally locked against all users.
I hope that has set you in the right direction, best regards Pete Emmerson; Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor

Access tip:

Hiding Multiple Table columns

If you want to hide non-adjacent Access table columns. In Datasheet view, open the table that contains the columns you want to hide.

On the Format menu, click Unhide Columns.
In the Unhide Columns dialog box, clear the check box next to the name of each column you want to hide.
Click Close.

This method makes having to use the Hide Columns command repeatedly unnecessary
