When creating a corporate master set of slides for employeed use, it is best to start from a completely blank slide, or to start with a layout option given by microsoft and edit that one, to ensure that no gremlins of formatting transfer into the master templates.

Hello Timi

Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

I would suggest using layouts that are provided within PowerPoint and modifying them, especially for layouts that are created for bulleted text (as the alignment settings can be tricky to create otherwise).

The 2007 version of PowerPoint gives you the ability to create your own bespoke slide layouts which is handy; however then you may find that there are compatibility issues between 2007 and 2003.

Kind regards
Amanda

Thank you Amanda.

That does lead me to another question. How does one set up bullets if we alter the layout to our own specification... which is what our client wants.

Also, once a setting is in the text box, how can one take it out? For example, my text boxes are starting the text with an indent. I didn't ask for this so it is clearly in a setting somewhere, I want to be able to remove this and have an unset text box.

Many thanks
Timi
