Why is it atfer a spreadsheet is already set up, and formulas entered, that the spreadsheet becomes corrupt, the formulas no longer work.

There are many reasons why formulas can become corrupt.
Here are some ways that it can happen.

1.
By default all the cells in Excel are unprotected. This means that anyone could intentionally or mistakenly change the content of the cell at any time.

2.
People using the spreadsheet may not know that the formula exists and so in making changes to the data, errors can occur.

3. If the data that a formula is refferring to is changed or moved, that can cause the formula result to become an error.

4. The formula itself may be changed. If someone clicks into a formula and then by mistake enters even a single keystoke, that can cause a formula to be incorrect.
