Hi Janet,

Hope you have enjoyed your Word training. Thank you for your question.

In order to add borders around tables in Word, please see the instructions below:
1) Click anywhere within the table
2) Select FORMAT menu > BORDERS and SHADING
3) Select the double line style in the middle box
4) Select the setting (i.e. Box, All, Grid...etc)
5) Click OK

If you only want the border around 1 column, select the column first before you choose FORMAT menu.
