MS Project - task relationships
Hi Gemma
Thanks for your question. A Start to Finish relationship is where Task B cannot finish until Task A starts. In my experience, it is a relationship that is not commonly used.
Normally, we can't start Task B until Task A finishes, the common Finish-to-Start relationship. This is the other way round: Task B cannot finish until Task A starts.
A Start to Finish relationship can be used for just-in-time scheduling up to the project finish date in order to minimize the risk of a task finishing late, if its dependent tasks slip.
Does that answer your question, Gemma? If so, please mark the question as resolved. If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Thanks.
Regards
Thia
