I have a problem with this formula when I put in the criterion for similar names.

For eg in the following example the criterion is similar ;

Jamie
Jamie OB

The dsum formula for the first 'Jamie' picks up all data with both names while the second one with 'Jamie OB' does the right thing.

Any ideas?

Hi Nasif

Thank you for your question.

Have you tried using the Subtotals feature instead, as this may help you to get the correct totals from your data?

Kind regards
Amanda

Hi Nasif

A further thought, you could probably use the SUMIF function to get the results you want as well.
