How do I save a presentation as a RTF outline?

RE: Saving a presentation

Hi Darren

Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

You can save a Word document as an RTF file, then import the RTF file into PowerPoint so that slides can be created from the outline. This is useful if you have used heading styles to format the Word document.

In Word, change to Outline view (View - Outline) and save as an RTF file (File - Save as - choose RTF as file type).

In PowerPoint, go to Insert - Slides from Outline.

Navigate to where you have saved your Word RTF file. Select it and click Insert.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Powerpoint tip:

Moving shapes where you want

when you move shapes using your cursor arrows they jump around, so by holding down the CTRL key and using the arrows the shape moves where you want it to.
