I need to split a series of persons names into 3 columns

eg "MS JANE EYRE"

to "MS" "JANE" "EYRE"

Any Ideas please

Hi Ady

Thank you for your question.

You can use the 'Text to Columns' feature to do this.

1. Select the cell which contains the full name.
2. Go to Data > Text to Columns
3. At the first step of the wizard, select the 'Delimited' option near the top of the dialogue box. Click Next.
4. At the second step, put a tick in the 'Space' box to select it as the delimiter. You should see the name appear in three columns in the preview at the bottom of the dialogue box. Click Next.
5. At the third step, click the little red arrow button within the Destination box, and select the cell which will represent the starting point for the data when it is separated into three columns. Click Finish.
