A friend has sent me a slide with a picture but it has HIS background. How do I remove HIS background and replace it with MY background while keeping the picture please?

Hi Roger,
Thank you for your post, in answer to your question, if you insert the slide using the Insert>Slides from Files this should change the background to your chosen Design.

However if the background on your friend's slide is other than a normal background (i.e. manually inserted) you will need to change to Master View and delete it there.

If all else fails copy the picture and paste it onto a slide with your background.

Blank The Screen During a Presentation

You sometimes need eye-to-eye contact with your audience, so to remove the temptation of the presentation screen behind you, blank out the screen.

Ctrl+B blacks the screen out, and use it again to continue.

Ctrl+W whites the screen, but be careful not to use this in a dark room. You may blind your audience with a strong white light.
