Hi Dennis
Probably the easiest way to focus your printing to one aspect of the plan is to use filters.
On the menu bar go to Project > Filtered for and choose one of the pre built filters (date range and Using Resource might be of particular interest). When a filter is applied the Gantt chart is updated to show only those tasks that meet the criterial.
Alternatively you can turn on auto-filter. Try Project > Filtered for > autofilter
Each title in the columns of your table will have a triangle beside it. Click on a triangle and you will be able to apply a filter based on that column. You can apply filters across multiple columns. Again the Gantt chart is updated to reflect the criteria you have applied.
