Are there chapters covered in the disc manual?
RE: concactenate
Dear Amanda
Thank you for attending Excel Advanced course. I hope you enjoyed the course and are finding the topics covered during the training useful.
I am not sure if the CD that you received with eth course manual contain the Concatenate function but it is fairly straight forward to use.
Please find an uploaded Excel File for your reference.
Let me take you through step by step how I managed to use Concatenate function.
Step 1: Type the first and last names in cell range A2:B5.
Step 2: Click on cell C2 and use the fx button on the formula bar
Step 3: Type Concatenate in the search for a function box and then press the enter key
Step 4: Select the concatenate from the select a function box and press OK button
Step 5: In the Concatenate dialog box for Text 1 click on the cell A2
Step 6: In the Text 2 box type in “ ” ( this is used to put spaces between the words. Please ensure that you use Shift + 2 to get the inverted commas and also ensure that there is a space between the two inverted commas)
Step 7: In Text 3 box click on the cell B2
Step 8: Press OK
Step 9: Copy and paste the Formula to other cells.
I hope this helps and you can apply this function to any type of data.
If this has answered your question then may I please request you to mark this post as resolved!!
Many thanks
Kindest Regards
