Good morning Sajid,

This is a very open question ! Do you mean formulas which you wish to create for example..

= A1 + B1

If this is the case you need to make sure your cursor is in the cell you would like you result/output to be in.

You then press the = sign and you can either type the characters A1 or click into the cell A1, after this you click an operator, in this case the + sign and continue to type or click into cell B1, once you have finished press the enter key and you should be left with the sum of the values in cell A1 and B1.

I hope that helps! Your training today will cover formula so you may find your initial question will be answered over the course of the day. If not feel free to post another question on the forum

Tracy

Excel tip:

Turn off AutoComplete in Excel

You may have noticed when typing into your spreadsheets that if you start to enter labels that begin with the same letters as a label that has been previously entered in the same spreadsheet, Excel will try and automatically complete the text for you. This feature is called AutoComplete.

If you find this feature more annoying than useful, you can turn it off by:

1. Going to Tools - Options.

2. Select the Edit tab.

3. Remove the tick from next to the "Enable AutoComplete for cell values" option.

4. Click OK.
