Hi Lisa

a fast way to get data out of a Project table is to click on the square in the top right corder (select all button - above the row numbers and to the left of the column headers). From the edit menu choose copy task and then in Excel choose Edit > paste.
If you don't want the summary tasks to come along with the data, in Project go to Tools > Options > View and remove the tick from the option to show summary tasks. Back in the Gantt chart you will see only tasks (not their summaries). These can now be copied to Excel.

Hope this helps - let us know if you need any further information.

Kind regards,

Andrew
