Update links
If someone emails a file to you containing vlookups etc, that prompts a message to update or not update, which should you select to ensure you get the correct data?For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability

Morning Alan,If you want the correct date then you need to choose Update. The only issue you might have with this though is where the file you getting the information from is stored. If for example the file is stored on a department network drive then you should be ok, but if it is stored on there own personal drive then you have no access so it will not update. The best way to check is to go to Edit / Links and this will tell you where the file is getting the information from.
