RE: Linking information between word and excel

Hi Kaylee,

You can link information either way but it works best when linking excel information into Word. Depending on where your copying your information from go to edit / paste special / click paste link which is on the right of the box, and click OK. Once you have done this you will get your information appearing. The best thing with links is that you don't have to have both files open, but when you do open the other file you do get the option to update your information. If you have done the link from excel into word a handy tip is that if you want to go to the excel file even if it is not open you can double click the linked information. This then opens excel at the spreadsheet.

If you need to make any changes to the link, or if it does not automatically update, then you need to go to Edit / links.

Hope this helps
Regards
Martin

Excel tip:

Customize the toolbar in Excel 2010

You can create your own toolbar which contains your favourite or most used tools. This will make using Excel much more efficient. To do this, you need to click on View, then select Customize Quick access Toolbars and then select Customize. A list of tools will then appear on the screen of which you can add or remove them as you please.
