Upgrading from previous version

I have the previous version, am I right in saying that it is only compatibility with other applications which has improved in this version?

RE: upgrading from previous version

Patrick,

Not quite sure what you mean by this?

When you say you have the previous version, are you talking about Dreamweaver 8?

If that's the case, then the next part of your question, I am assuming, is asking that Dreamweaver 8 is only compatible with the other Macromedia Studio products?

And also, what do you mean by compatible? What is it you're trying to do? Copy over images from one to another?

If you're talking about compatiblity with web browsers such as IE or Firefox, then there is no issue. No matter what version of Dreamweaver you use, the basic web page will work in any browser.

If this hasn't answered your question, please reply with more specifics, and I will try my best to answer your query.

Kind regards,
Rich

Dreamweaver tip:

JumpMenu in new window

When inserting a jumpmenu to a page, the only option available for 'open in' is usually 'main window'. There would be other options available if the page was a frameset.

To change the jumpmenu to open in a new window, change the target parameter of the selectbox in your code to 'window.open()'.

eg.
<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('window.open()',this,0)">
