Is there a way to protect a database from unwanted changes to queries, reports, forms, etc, and from changing designs to objects, such that a user can only enter new data via a form or table and only run/view reports or queries?

Please note that we can only answer questions that relate directly to the training you have received from us to date.

User access and permissions is a rather advanced level topic, and this is something that we would advise on in a consultancy capacity.

For us to assist with this would involve some dedicated time with a relevant trainer having access to your database which would be billable.

Your in the Relationship window and changes are required to be made to a Table's design.

Rather than exiting the Relationship window, if you perform a right-mouse click on the table, it opens that table up in Design view
