Inserting multiple rows into a table

I am trying to insert many rows into an existing table. When I copy and paste rows, any information in the existing cells is over-written rather than new rows being added.

At the moment I am adding new rows one by one as follows:
table>insert>rows.

This is very time consuming, is there a way to add several rows into a table in one go?

Thanks

Hi Amy,

Try this one:

Select the number of rows you want to insert.

Then go to Table -> Insert -> and then either 'rows above' or 'rows below'.

Word inserts the number of rows you have selected. So if you select 5 rows before doing this command, Word will insert 5 rows for you.

Let me know how you get on.

Regards, Rich
